Digital Hospital® DATA SHIELD SERVICE PROGRAM

  1. At Comex 2016, the purchase and/or promotion for all DATA SHIELD Services offered by Digital Hospital  is only applicable for new purchases made during Comex 2016, and limited to 1,000 of such said purchases per day from 8th to 11th September 2016.
  2. The Free 6-month DATA SHIELD Basic Service package is only applicable for new purchases of laptops, AIOs, PCs, tablets and smartphones from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI, and only redeemable at Level 4 Tech Showcase T6.
  3. Customers with new devices purchased from other brands during Comex 2016 can buy and register for the Advanced or Premium Seagate Data Recovery packages at promotional prices from 8th to 11th September 2016 only.
  4. Free Acronis Data Backup must be redeemed and registered @ digitalhospital.com.sg/acronis before 30 September 2016.
  5. Data Recovery package covers only the default internal storage device that first comes with the device. Upgraded storage, external storage devices such as SD cards are not covered.
  6. For the Free 6-month Data Shield Basic package, the customers is limited to ONE (1) claim during the Term of this Agreement: should the Device suffers any incident or defect which entitles the Customer to call on Digital Hospital to render the Services and, the Customer cannot access or read the data or information stored on that Customer’s device, then Digital Hospital will attempt a logical data recovery method only, without warranting the success to recover the data or information, using the Seagate Data Recovery protocols and processes. Should Digital Hospital be successful, Digital Hospital will either restore the data and information to the Device or, at our election, copy any recovered data or information to a USB memory stick(s) or other storage medium(s), which Digital Hospital will lend to the Customer but without obligation to re-install the data or information.
  7. In the event where the Device is classified as severely damaged and cannot be recovered by logical data recovery method described in Para 6, the Customer will be entitled to a discounted rate of S$$249 (U.P $1,176 with GST) for further physical data recovery method in the laboratory. The Device, or parts thereof, will most likely be damaged or even destroyed during the Data Recovery process. The Customer must make sure that the data and information have been backed up regularly to an independent back up storage device. We will not compensate the Customer nor be liable (The Parties agree that the maximum liability incurred by Digital Hospital to the Client arising from this Agreement shall not exceed the total purchase price paid for the Service/s) for any damage caused only by the rendering of the Data Recovery Service, or if the Data Recovery Service is unsuccessful either in whole or in part.
  8. Digital Hospital does not guarantee that any data or information on the Device will be recoverable. Digital Hospital’s obligation and liability with regards to Data Recovery is limited to attempting the Data Recovery methods as set out herein only and excludes any obligation to attempt data recovery on any device. Our obligations and liability to provide any Data Recovery Service under this Agreement will end as soon as Digital Hospital has carried out one data recovery attempt on the Device.
  9. The Customer hereby agrees and accepts that all existing warranty (if any) for the Device will be null and voided upon his/her request for Digital Hospital to carry out any data recovery service.
  10. When making a claim for the rendering of any Service, the Customer must provide Digital Hospital with full details of the Customer’s purchase slip, invoice or other reasonably acceptable proof of purchase confirming details of the Device and reflecting the simultaneous purchase of this Agreement, details of where and when the Customer purchased the Device, contact details (name, ID number, telephone number and address) as well as the description and serial number of the Device the Customer bought with this Agreement. If the Customer cannot locate proof of purchase, Digital Hospital will try and assist the Customer to confirm the purchase of the Device and this Agreement with the supplier but do not undertake to be able to do so. The Customer must also give Digital Hospital a frank, full and honest account of the incident leading to the claim. If Digital Hospital so requests at any time, the Customer must send the proof, to our reasonable satisfaction, of any or all of the aforegoing and provide Digital Hospital with any further information it reasonably requires before Digital Hospital is required to perform any actions or further actions hereunder.
  11. Only timeous valid claims for Services made during the term of this Agreement and made in accordance with the procedures in this Agreement and which are covered by this Agreement and which are not excluded or otherwise limited by the terms hereof will be processed and oblige Digital Hospital to render the Services.
  12. Digital Hospital will notify customers via email ONE (1) week in advance pertaining to extensions of their Acronis Cloud Data Backup service packages. Thereafter, customers who do not extend their Service packages will have their accounts suspended SEVEN (7) days after this notification.
  13. Any Acronis Cloud Data Backup Service package that is not renewed will be automatically terminated after SEVEN (7) day of suspension and Digital Hospital shall not in any manner, directly or indirectly, be held responsible for any data loss in Cloud storage.  Customers who have submitted their renewal of their Acronis Cloud Data Backup Service packages but payment has not been received will similarly have their accounts suspended, and these accounts will be terminated after SEVEN (7) days by Digital Hospital.
  14. In the event that any claim is determined to be a claim that is not covered by the Indemnity, the Customer is required to pay the excess before the Claim is processed.
  15. Original invoice of the Device/s need to be presented for internal approval before purchasing SRP with a 60-day wait out period.
  16. Seagae Data recovery package does not include data decryption service, such as Ransom software.
  17. Data Shield coverage lasts for 180 days from the date of registration.
  18. In the event of any dispute Digital Hospital’s decision shall be final.

 

Digital Hospital® SSD/RAM UPGRADING

SSD & RAM Upgrading Terms and Conditions for Comex 2016:

  1. Comex 2016 Promotion: With the purchase of  Samsung Evo 750 120GB SSD @ $59, you are entitled to a free “SSD upgrade service”.
  2. Service charges of SSD upgrade is $80 before GST, RAM upgrade is $30 before GST. For Comex show 2016, service charges are lowered to $40 nett and $10 nett respectively for the upgrades.
  3. “SSD upgrade service” includes 1 (one) physical installation of SSD and a free cloning service
  4. “RAM upgrade service” includes 1 (one) phyiscal installation of the RAM
  5. Warranty of device may be voided in the process of upgrading. Customers will be informed of the risk before carrying out the upgrading process.
  6. SSD/RAM upgrading is subjected to SSD/RAM compatibility, the product design and form factor etc. it only covers the labour charge, customers need to provide its own components.
  7. Cloning of storage device is only possible if only the occupied space of the original data clusters are smaller than that of the new destination storage device. In the event that cloning is not possible, we will do a fresh installation of the original OS at our own discretion.
  8. Cloning and fresh installation of Operating System is only valid for systems with valid original license from Windows and Apple.
  9. Digital Hospital will not be responsible for any data loss during the cloning process. Customers are advised to backup their data before sending in.
  10. Digital Hospital will not be responsible if built in recovery partition does not work after the cloning process.
  11. The Customer’s original device must be fully functional, capable of starting up properly and be virus free to be eligible for the Data Cloning Services. Eligible PC must be with a running Windows 7 or later and a working USB port. Eligible Mac must be with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later and a working Ethernet, Firewire, Thunderbolt, or USB port.  In cases where the original device is faulty or partially faulty, the data residing in the original device might be further corrupted or lost.
  12. Digital Hospital does not guarantee the usability of the cloned data from an old device to Customer’s new device. Certain data, including but not limited to, email, contacts, and calendar applications that which required support of the original software or software version may not be usable in the new device.
  13. During the check in process, only a quick surface diagnosis and physical examination of the device is performed. Certain issues may surface during the cloning process. Digital Hospital will not be liable for the additional issues identify after checking in of the devices.
  14. In the event of any dispute, Digital Hospital‘s decision shall be final.
